You’re there. You’re always there. But where were they when you needed them? Nowhere to be found. Unable to answer the phone. You answer the calls every time one of them needs help. Take the weight of the world. You’re strong enough to handle it on your own, but do you really want to? You could. It won’t make it any easier to go through, just more bearable. All you need is an interest. Not fascination or obsession. Just a little inquiry into how you operate. Some question as to why you do what you do. Because like the rest of the forsaken world you just want to be understood. But you’re too damn stubborn and confused. You went looking, you found who you are. Maybe even saw what you might be. But it’s still not enough is it? Fight to be different. Separate yourself and shine on brighter and brighter. Maybe you’ll get lucky and someone will ask “What the fuck is with that guy?”. Or you could take control of yourself in a different way. You understand who you are already. Now throw yourself back to humanity. You don’t have to die a lonely martyr trying to fulfill some righteous cause. There’s always the other way. Just because it’s the road more often traveled doesn’t mean it’ll mean any less for you. It’s fresh for you. It might be familiar to everyone before you, but they all saw it differently. Your turn. Take a leap
I understand. I can sympathize. I actually see things from another persons point of view. So I can understand why someone would come to me to talk, or for advice, or just for help in general. But even if it’s not me that YOU go to for help. Chances are the person that helps you, helps other people to. That person has problems of their own and they still willingly shoulder yours too. Everybody has something that changed everything.
